Experience the magic of the Maasai while volunteering to help our students improve their English conversational skills.

Mastering English is an asset when looking for a job in Kenya. Though our students study English in school, most learn it with a thick East African accent. Having English conversations with visitors with different accents is important for their professional development. It will also be a lot of fun for them and you!

This is what the week will look like:

  1. Arrive in Nairobi
  2. Go for a safari at Amboseli Game Reserve
  3. Travel to the market town of Rombo at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro to be hosted for six days by the KKIS+1 students who are training in our hospitality program.
  4. Spend time with students engaging in conversations or teaching (depending on your comfort level).
  5. Attend a traditional Maasai “Welcome and Appreciation Celebration”
  6. See the markets, homes, and families of the Maasai. Learn their history, victories, and challenges.
  7. Three nights on the island of Zanzibar for rest, reflection, and a chance to learn about the East African coast culture, Indian Ocean trade, and the slave trade.

There are 15 spots available. Come and join us for an amazing and life-changing experience.
